Federal prosecutors charged a Miami man with the largest case of credit and debit card data theft ever in the United States, accusing the one-time government informant of stealing 130 million accounts on top of the 40 million he stole previously.  Albert Gonzalez, 28, broke his own record for identity theft by hacking into retail networks.  Gonzalez is a former informant for the U.S. Secret Service who helped the agency hunt hackers. The agency later found out that he had also been working with criminals and feeding them information on ongoing investigations. The new gangsta, cyber style.

SERT_dist_antidep

In a revealing report, it’s said that the use of antidepressant drugs in the United States doubled from 1996 and 2005.  About 6% of people were prescribed in 1996- 13 million people, to 10% or 27 million people in 2005. More than 164 million prescriptions were written in 2008 for antidepressants, totaling $9.6 billion. The survey did not look at why, but it may be more socially acceptable to be diagnosed with and treated for depression. The availability of new drugs may also be a factor. But what’s the deal? Researchers say that antidepressants do little help, but they are marketed, dam near shoved down our throats..why? Who benefits from medicated masses?

microsoft

Reports out in the world say that Microsoft and Yahoo have joined into an Internet search partnership, finally setting the stage for the rivals to make an all-out assault against the dominance of Google Inc. The 10 year deal gives Microsoft access to the Internet’s second largest search engine audience. In addition the deal will also allow Microsoft to introduce it’s recently upgraded search engine, called Bing. Taking over the search responsibilities Yahoo’s highly trafficked site gives Microsoft a better chance to convert Web surfers. In return for handing over the keys to its search engine, Yahoo will get to keep 88% of the revenue from all search ad sales for the first five years of the deal. Wow! Almost a monopoly.

E-cigarettes Just As Bad, Says FDA

e-cigarette

Federal health officials say they have found cancer-causing ingredients in electronic cigarettes. The FDA said testing of the products from two leading electronic cigarette makers turned up several toxic chemicals including a key ingredient in anti-freeze. Public health advocates have a legitimate problem with the way the products are marketed to young people. Because electronic cigarettes are not under federal tobacco laws, they’re easier for young people to buy. Electronic cigarettes produce a nicotine mist absorbed directly into the lungs.

Cocaine, Big In “The Heartland”.

It seems that while all eyes are on the border and overseas, drug rings and cartel associates are putting it down right in the middle of America. In places such as Watertown, Wisconsin Mexican drug gangs have moved in and set up shop, much to the shock of our Caucasian American brethren. It’s a story that echoes elsewhere, the U.S. Justice Dept. says more than 200 U.S. cities have seen cartel-related drug smuggling. Keep watch.

Oscar G. Mayer (Meat Man) Dead At 95.

300px-Oscar_Mayer_logo.svg

Oscar G. Mayer III, of the family that founded Oscar Mayer Foods has died at the age of 95. Oscar Mayer Foods was once the largest private employer in Madison, Wisconsin. Mayer, who was chairman of the board retired in 1977 soon after the company recorded it’s first billion dollar year. The company was later sold to General Foods and is now a unit of Kraft. I posted this because this family was a major contributor to how food is mass produced now. No respect for the animal, keeping them in filthy conditions, beating and castrating animals with no anesthetics and pumping the animals full of anti-biotics and steroids. Did you know that when you slaughter a conscious, afraid animal that it’s body is full of adrenalin and other enzymes that is toxic to us during consumption? The video below shows more than I can say, and it’s kind of graphic.
