Federal prosecutors charged a Miami man with the largest case of credit and debit card data theft ever in the United States, accusing the one-time government informant of stealing 130 million accounts on top of the 40 million he stole previously.  Albert Gonzalez, 28, broke his own record for identity theft by hacking into retail networks.  Gonzalez is a former informant for the U.S. Secret Service who helped the agency hunt hackers. The agency later found out that he had also been working with criminals and feeding them information on ongoing investigations. The new gangsta, cyber style.

Controversial Journalist Sam Ferguson Shot Dead.

Police are investigating the reckless shooting death of Miami journalist Samuel Feruson, 47, who worked for Don Diva Magazine. Samuel Ferguson was shot to death on Friday (August 14) when unknown gunmen opened fire on his car. Ferguson, also went by the name of Samuel Silvasteen, crashed his car into a median and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have no suspects in the shooting, but they seek a black car clear tail light lenses.

Undoing The Segregation.

The riot that trashed a Southern California prison and injured 175 inmates began with a fight between black and Hispanic gang members, a reminder of the difficulty of race relations behind bars. In America’s largest state prison system black, Hispanic, Asian and white gangs generally don’t mix. Last fall, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation began desegregating two prisons in the Sierra foothills. They are not yet fully integrated, and officials haven’t started on any other prisons. Also, powerful race-based gangs oppose integration and have threatened inmates who participate.

‘Dead’ Baby Wakes Up At Wake!

A baby boy born 16 weeks prematurely was declared dead by doctors at a hospital in Paraguay only to wake up for his funeral hours later! Dr. Ernesto Weber, head of pediatric care said the baby weighed just 500 grams.  The family was given a death certificate and a cardboard box with the baby’s name on the outside which served as a makeshift coffin. When the family took the baby from the hospital to prepare for his funeral, the baby woke up and started crying. Hours after the baby’s death had been declared he was found to be alive..Wow!

More Tragedy In The Air For New Yorkers.

A small plane collided with a sightseeing helicopter over the Hudson River. Authorities believe all nine people aboard the two aircraft were killed.  A helicopter pilot refueling on the ground at the heliport for Liberty Tours saw the plane approaching and tried to radio an alert to the pilots. The warning wasn’t heard or didn’t happen in time. The collision happened just after noon and was seen by thousands of people. Three bodies from the crash had been recovered diving operations were suspended for the night.
